Personal Life Coaching

Opportunity: Born from the executive leadership coaching and women’s seminars, Jennifer expanded her coaching work to include individuals who were at a point of transition or reflection in one or many areas of their lives. She realized the power in working with people over a period of time, to help them look at their lives holistically and visualize what they most want in the world.

Solution: works with life coaching clients over a period of months to help build and then sustain their own ability to create the results they want in their lives. Here are some client stories:

Stephanie sought life coaching to refocus her life’s direction. She had accomplished many of the goals she had set for herself, including starting and then selling a successful business, traveling the world and building a wonderful network of close friends. She was now struggling with “What’s next?” in her life, including her desire to uncover the next steps for her career, her physical environment and her personal relationships.

Result: Stephanie clarified her career goals and visualized herself living on the water, working independently with creative people in a variety of outlets, including writing, photography and film-making. She set her plan in motion by hosting a photography exhibit of her travels around Asia and participating as a producer in a documentary film. She’s contemplating a move to San Francisco to be near the water.

"Working with IntraVision helped me establish a clear, concise vision plan for every facet of my life…I have written hundreds of business & strategic plans for companies, but never one for my own life. I am a strong believer if you make something come alive in your mind, it will come alive in reality. Jennifer helped get to absolute clarity very quickly. Before working with her, I often felt overwhelmed and then paralyzed with choices and the direction of my life. Now I feel energized, confident, focused, and most of all, excited." - Stephanie

Perry was a highly successful corporate executive who was reaching retirement age but didn’t have a clear idea of what his next stage of life would hold. He also recognized a pattern in his relationships whereby after a certain period of time he would begin sabotaging the relationship to “force” his partner to walk away, so he wouldn’t be responsible for ending it. As a result, he had a series of long-term relationships, all of which came to an end in a predictable manner.

Result: After spending two solid days creating a vision for his post-retirement career, and identifying the limiting patterns in his life, Perry slowly began to take action. He separated from his relationship in order to take stock of how he wanted to be in relationships with others. He took proactive steps to define his final experiences in his corporate job and began networking outside the company to create an ongoing consulting role. His retirement is imminent, and he has a plan and framework against which to work.

"Recognizing a need and desire for change at the most significant levels of one's life is the key first step for anyone, but actually making those changes real is the hard part. Jennifer has been and continues to be a most effective guide and coach for me as this process unfolds. It is a fascinating and rewarding experience." - Perry

At 42, Robin knew that she was meant to be a mother, but she was also certain that she wanted a loving husband alongside her to raise her children. At the time, she wasn’t in a relationship at all. An avid adventurer and traveler, she also dreamed of living an expatriate life, moving internationally and experiencing new countries. She had a clear vision of the life she wanted, and she set that intention in motion.

Result: Within a year, Robin had met and married her French husband. Within six months of her wedding, she had moved to Morocco, where her husband works as a journalist, and become pregnant with their daughter. As they celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary, they delight in Solenne, their nearly two-year-old, and contemplate their next international assignment.

"Be careful what you wish for! As I reflect on my life I can see clearly that focused intention generates results -- not always the results I thought nor in the desired time frame but attention absolutely renders tangible effect. I have no doubt that opportunities to reach my goals exist all of the time but if I am not consciously aware of my desires I miss opportunities to advance them. Intravision helped me to get clarity on goals that were truly suited to my total well being and betterment. Jennifer's techniques and guidance really helped me to clear the dust of everyday life and focus." - Robin T.

Robin wanted to evolve her career into something that used her gifts but also allowed her flexibility and freedom. She had become a renowned communications expert for large-scale events, and she was often sought after for her skills within the media operations industry. As a result, she was often “on-call” at all hours of the day and night and traveling globally, which prevented her from having other aspects of her life that were increasingly important to her: time with her son and husband, and a lifestyle that would allow her family to live in the mountains of Colorado.

Result: Robin visualized herself in a small community surrounded by nature, working from her home over the phone and computer, and traveling on a schedule that she defined. She saw her skill set translating naturally to life coaching and facilitating, so she began a correspondence and tele-class program to become a licensed coach. She printed new business cards, preparing for a career transition. She is currently using her network to gaining experience in coaching and facilitating, and her family is preparing to build a home in Colorado.

"This was the first time I spent 48 hours just focusing on my own goals and dreams instead of my clients. With Jennifer’s uncanny ability to ask the right questions, I am moving in a direction that honors what I hold most dear – my values, my time, my family and my work. I wish all my friends would do this." - Robin S.

Leslie noticed patterns in her life that were creating unhappiness for her, including her tendency to avoid looking at negative issues because she believed at some level that “If she didn’t look at them, they didn’t exist.” A very successful businesswoman, she consumed herself with her work at the expense of her mental and physical health. As a result, she had neglected her physical living space, her personal finances and life’s administrative needs that were piling up around her.

Result: Leslie took control of her own patterns, and began setting boundaries and deadlines for herself, knowing her actions would contribute to becoming the type of person and creating the type of life she wanted. She committed to leaving the office by 7 p.m. each day and minimizing work on weekends or planes. She took charge of her finances, driving herself to financial independence by putting savings structures in place. She began an aggressive plan to create the New York apartment she will be proud to live and entertain in. And now she’s becoming a mentor and model for her employees, many of whom are struggling with similar problems with work.
