Facilitating Teams Toward Business Results

Opportunity: The Coca-Cola Company embarked on an Olympic project unlike any other: to bring the Olympic Flame around the world to 27 countries and 34 cities in 36 days. It was a project that would depend on hundreds of people throughout the complex Coca-Cola system of corporate and field employees, bottlers and customers. The core team guiding the project included nearly 20 company and agency employees with diverse backgrounds, ranging from event and consumer marketing to communications, security and operations. On an extremely tight budget and timeline, the core team had to ensure that they were completely aligned against a common mission and vision, and communicating consistently and efficiently to the global Coca-Cola system, whom they depended on for success.

Solution: IntraVision worked with the leadership team to design a series of team sessions at key points throughout the project. The international meetings were designed with clear outcomes in mind, and each piece of meeting content contributed to meeting those outcomes. IntraVision helped the team create a shared vision of global success; clarify and prioritize major milestones and work priorities; energize the entire system; share concerns, solicit feedback and answer questions; and build a strong and collaborative team.
